Client Profile

Diyhomedepot is a Vietnam-based store that provides a wide selection of electrical equipment, including portable power tools for indoor and outdoor usage, hand-held electrical equipment, lifting equipment, ladders, and cooling machines. This company cooperates with industry-leading manufacturers such as Bosch, Makita, Dewalt, Stanely, and others to supply its clients with the top-notch equipment they can use for their household and construction needs.

SEO Promotion Goals

We have been collaborating with this client since November 2018. He is one of our first Vietnamese clients who invested in complex SEO promotion (the FullSEO package). Our client’s initial request was to boost the organic traffic to his website, increase conversion rate, fix all the existing SEO errors, and attract more paying clients. We aimed at making his site more recognizable on the Vietnamese market to build consumer trust.

Our Strategy

Our promotion strategy began with a careful analysis of the requests on the Vietnamese market and accurate keyword research. We collected a group of words based on the queries for electrical and hand-held tools. What is more, we added some general key phrases and relevant long-tails that have already ranked on Google. Then we launched a link building campaign and prepared a list of SEO recommendations for the client.

The list of the SEO issues we have managed to fix on the website includes:

– headings and meta tags optimization by adding high-volume relevant keywords to homepage and the priority categories;

– configuration of 301 redirect from the exact copy of the homepage ( /default.aspx URL):

– implementation of organization structured data to provide the information about a store: phone number, addresses, email, link to social account etc.;
– resolving a problem with the 404 errors processing to keep users from leaving the site;
– page speed optimization in accordance with the existing CMS capacities;

– configuration of 301 redirects from pages with trailing slashes to pages without it:

– robots.txt file optimization (excluded empty and unnecessary search pages from being crawled by Google bots);
– removing all irrelevant links and broken images across the website;
– images optimization by adding relevant alt tags to all pictures at the promoting pages;
– the sitemap.xml file update (fixing 404 errors, 301 redirects, and noindex URLs);
– writing unique SEO texts using relevant high-volume keywords.

In addition to the main SEO checklist, we also set up an account in Google Search Console, added a sitemap to the root and robots.txt, and found the right geo-target to attract more organic traffic. Besides, we recommended our client to enhance his GMB profile by adding all the relevant information to it.

The results we’ve achieved:

Results & Conclusion

We’re proud to admit that thanks to the SEO improvements we implemented on the website, almost 4.000 of the target keywords reached TOP-1 and other 34.000 ones TOP-100 in 18 months. If compared this data to those we observed before the start of our promotion campaign (54 keywords in TOP-1 and 2800 keywords in TOP-100), the achieved results are nothing but amazing.

By generating and adding the new sitemap, we aimed at helping Google crawlers to have indexed more website pages by target keywords. Not only low-frequency words but also high-volume key phrases reached TOP-1. One of them is “woodworking machinery”.

Organic searches became the main source of traffic to the website. Now, it attracts more than 60.000 visitors from organic search per month and up to 3.000 per day.

To sum it up, it’s worth mentioning that our thought-after optimization campaign greatly contributed to the client’s business success. We have improved the site’s positions on the SERP, increased the organic traffic flow to it, and made our client’s business more visible on the local market.
